What information do we collect and how is it used?
We collect and retain your data only to enable us to provide and administer TM courses, retreats and education services.
We collect data for the purpose of:
- Customer service/contact
- To process your booking
- To send you emails about knowledge and events
We use a contact form to assist you with more information and to book courses. Your contact information is not shared with any third party. If you tick the box to agree, we will store your email address in order to keep you updated by email with knowledge, courses and events that may be of interest to you. You will have the option to unsubscribe at any time.
Booking Form and Information for your Teacher (IFT)We request detailed personal information for use by your teacher before you attend a course. This information is stored on our server. The digital form is printed by the teacher and is vital for the teaching process and will enable the teacher to decide whether any adjustments need to be made to the teaching to allow for any issues arising from your responses. All personal information is strictly confidential and only seen by trained office staff or the qualified meditation teacher.
Your email address and name are collected when you leave a comment on our website. This information is not used or shared.
Emails and newsletter
Your email address is used to process and complete your booking and for contact about your course.
We send out newsletter emails from time to time about upcoming events, courses, meetings and news about the Meditation Trust. You can unsubscribe from this list at any time by clicking on the link within the email or by contacting us below.

We collect payments via PayPal, Worldpay or BACs and retain record of payments received, but we do not store any of your financial data such as card numbers or bank account details.
Can I see the information you have collected about me?
When you complete the booking form and the teachers’ information form you will receive a duplicate copy by email. You can at any time request a copy of the information we hold about you. Membership of The Meditation Trust is for life, however you may request that your data be removed from our database at any time.
How do we protect your information?
All your data is stored digitally. We use security technology in place to protect your information; and we make sure that when we ask another organisation to provide a service for us, they have appropriate security measures.
Do we disclose any information to third parties?
We never share your information with third parties. Any information collected is used only for its intended purpose. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
